Angela Chao has been awarded the Mississauga Arts Council “Artists on Film” grant for the “Mississauga Creates: South Asian Creatives” Initiative.  This short documentary will highlight South Asian women artists working in poetry, visual arts and film-making. Through sharing their stories featured artists will provide motivation and encouragement to others and demonstrate some of the diverse talent in Mississauga.

The Mississauga Creates – Highlighting South Asian Women Project invites YOU to join in our exciting documentary to be released Spring 20201, showcasing your creativity.  If you would like to be included, please submit a short video clip representing your creative journey. Share with us a video clip of you in action, creating your art, singing, writing poetry in Mississauga.. Your video clip should be a maximum of one minute in duration, and contain no sound (If there is sound it will not be used), and in horizontal format

Deadline for submission is October 31, 2020. All successful submissions will be notified by December 17, 2020 and will be required to complete a release form to be included in the documentary. For those chosen you will be credited in the end credits of the documentary. Looking forward to seeing your creative process and artistic expressions!
